AWS service catalogue
These services apply to the B.C. government AWS landing zone.
How the service catalogue works
Catalogue label definitions
Basic checks completed
Services with this label have successfully passed a set of privacy and security assessments. You can use these services right away.
Prohibited
In some cases, we can’t approve the use of a service due to guardrails that can’t be changed without affecting the compliance of the whole B.C. government landing zone environment. Services with this label have failed the security and privacy assessments and therefore, you can’t use them.
Unknown or missing
These are services that we have not yet assessed. In some cases the assessments may have been completed, or are in the process of being completed, but the table hasn’t been updated. If you’re interested in using a service that is marked as unknown, contact us before you start your own assessments. We may be in the process of completing them.
Submit a request
If you’re interested in an AWS service that’s not included in the catalogue, you can submit a request for us to complete the necessary assessments. We complete these requests on a best-effort basis and don’t guarantee that the request will be completed within a certain timeframe. If you need access to a service in a short timeframe, we recommend you complete the assessments yourself, with the help of your privacy and security contacts.
