There are several technologies that help make Digital Credentials a reality.
The projects below are open source, publicly available for others to use and modify. Open-source technology advances more quickly, has increased security, delivers more value at lower cost, and is more reliable.
Open source projects for Digital Credentials include:
- Aries Cloud Agent Python (ACA-Py): a toolkit for storing and using Digital Credentials that adhere to worldwide standards
- Aries Bifold: a mobile wallet written React Native, and upon which BC Wallet is based
- Traction Accelerator API: an accelerator API for Hyperledger Aries, which enables your organization to participate in the Digital Trust ecosystem as an issuer, holder, and/or verifier.
- Business Partner Agent: software run by an organization for issuing, holding, and verifying Digital Credentials.
- Aries Verifiable Credentials Registry (Aries VCR): the foundation of OrgBook, and a template for creating Verifiable Credentials for organizations
- Aries VCR Issuer Controller: a template for becoming an OrgBook issuer, if you are not using BC Digital Trust’s service
- Aries Agent Test Harness: a set of tests that help make sure all the parts of Aries are working together correctly
- Indy Node: the blockchain / distributed-ledger layer of Digital Credentials
