Today we’re excited to launch our blogging platform on digital.gov.bc.ca. We know that stories and the real people behind those stories are key to improving B.C. government services in the digital era.

Our goal is to give all BC public sector employees a place to publish and share the great work of their teams and ministries.

Contribute a blog post and get published

We invite you to contribute a blog post about your own journey modernizing services and growing your skills.

Your writing will play a crucial role in shaping a more connected and digitally-advanced public service. If you need inspiration, here’s a few prompts to get you started:

  • Share your expertise or experience using a specific tool or method
  • Give insights and reflections on using the Digital Plan or the Digital Code of Practice to guide your work
  • Share your experience using Agile methods for the first time
  • Be honest about the challenges and hurdles you’ve faced

I have a blog idea

We’re here to make this as easy as possible for you:

  1. Send us an email that outlines your idea. Have a draft copy? That’s even better
  2. We’ll review your content and meet with you to fine-tune your story
  3. Submit your draft. A member of our team can help you edit the blog for clarity and readability 
  4. A publish date will be determined and we’ll work with you to source images
  5. The blog is published!

We’re developing further writing guidance and blogging support documentation. Watch for it in 2024.
